Which application should you start with?
Equipping a whole school in one go is rarely possible. The table below ranks the eight application areas by priority and decision difficulty, which helps you see what needs planning early.

How to use the application pages together with the product categories
The site offers two different viewpoints and they complement one another:
- Application pages (this section) describe the space: layout, capacity, safety, project process and timetable. They answer "how do I set up this room?"
- Product categories describe the product: model comparison, materials, dimensions, what drives the price and specification clauses. They answer "which product should I choose?"
The order we recommend is: plan the space first, choose the product second. In projects that start from the product, dimensions and capacity often fail to work out afterwards; in projects that start from the space, the product choice narrows by itself.
Equipping several spaces at once
In most schools the requirement is not confined to a single room. Handling several spaces within one project has three concrete benefits.
First, cost. Products from the same frame family cost less per unit when made in one batch. Putting classrooms, the staff room and the conference hall into the same order is markedly cheaper than buying the three separately.
Second, appearance. Furniture bought at different times can differ in paint tone. Production in one batch preserves colour consistency and the building looks as though it was designed as a whole.
Third, transport. Delivery is calculated by volume; an order sent in a single consignment costs less than the same products split across several.
Where the budget does not stretch to a single purchase we work in phases — but we recommend fixing the configuration (model, material, RAL colour) in the first phase and not changing it afterwards. A renewal spread over three or four years then looks, in the end, as though it were done all at once.
Multi-purpose spaces: where two applications meet
In a good many schools rooms are not dedicated to one use. The same hall serves as dining room and assembly hall; the same room as library and study hall. Which application page should you read then?
The rule is this: plan for the most demanding use and solve flexibility second. In a hall that is also a dining room the decisive factors are wet cleaning and turnover; the assembly requirement is then added on top through portability. In a study hall that also serves as a library the decisive factor is comfort over long periods of sitting; the teaching layout is solved through the arrangement of tables.
In practice we suggest reading two application pages together: the page for the dominant use gives the product and dimension decision, the page for the secondary use gives the flexibility requirement.
