Product Description

The Dünya single student desk is the Sırasan single-desk configuration that offers the widest flexibility in material choice. For the top there are Werzalit, CDF, compact laminate and melamine; for the modesty panel, melamine or perforated sheet. Produced under the code SR 20, this model puts sturdiness first with its upright tube profile frame and wide-based skid foot. Because dozens of different configurations can be built on a single frame, it simplifies procurement in schools whose departments have differing needs. The Dünya student desk family is produced in single and double frames; the single-seat model is described here.

Upright profile frame and wide-based foot

This model’s frame is carried by two vertical tube profiles beneath the top, and those profiles meet the floor on a wide-based skid foot. Unlike curved cantilever frames, the load path here is direct: weight on the top travels uninterrupted down the vertical profiles to the floor. On a school desk that is sat on, leaned on and hung with bags, that detail makes a difference over the years. The wide base also makes the desk harder to tip forwards or sideways — a valuable safety feature in classes with active age groups. The plastic glides at the leg ends protect the floor and reduce the scraping noise made when a desk is pulled.

Modesty panel: melamine or perforated sheet?

The clearest feature separating this desk from other single models is that the modesty panel can be produced in two different materials. The perforated-sheet panel is finished in the same electrostatic powder coating as the frame; its perforated texture makes the desk look visually lighter, it resists impact and it is cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. The melamine panel can be chosen from the same colour family as the top, giving a more unified and warmer appearance; it is not as cold to the touch as metal, which is a reason for preference in younger age groups in particular.

A configuration with no modesty panel at all is also available. The panel-free build leaves the underside of the desk completely open; institutions that want the classroom to look airier and that prioritise ease of cleaning tend towards this option. The decision is entirely yours — you only need to state which build you want at the ordering stage.

Four different top materials

Four options are offered on the top side, and this is where the model earns its name. Werzalit is a wood-textured, warm surface with a long history in school furniture. CDF is more resistant to moisture and scratching thanks to its high-pressure pressed compact structure. Compact laminate is preferred for intensive use and harsh cleaning conditions. Melamine comes to the fore in projects looking for colour variety and a cost advantage. Choosing different tops by department within one school is possible: a distribution such as compact in classrooms adjacent to the laboratory and Werzalit in ordinary rooms optimises both budget and service life.

In public procurement and tender specifications the top material is often stated explicitly. The fact that this model supports four materials on one frame means that whichever material the specification calls for, the same product family can answer it. The practical result for the school is this: a single desk design is maintained across the building, there is no need to look for different models for different departments, and spare parts and service also work with a single frame.

Wire book rack and daily use

The wire book rack beneath the top is wide enough for a pupil’s daily set of notebooks and books. Its open wire construction serves two purposes: contents stay visible so forgotten items are noticed easily, and no enclosed volume forms where dust collects. The pen groove on the upper surface of the top is a small detail that prevents pens rolling off onto the floor — and one that proves useful many times a day.

The position of the rack is a deliberate choice too. Closed drawers recessed under the top may look tidy at first glance, but they restrict the pupil’s seating position and narrow knee clearance. An open wire basket, sitting below knee level, does not affect seating comfort. Being able to remove and wash the baskets during the end-of-year deep clean is also a practical advantage over closed-box solutions.

Colour and height: configured to the school

Frame and panel colours are chosen from the RAL chart; production can match the school’s corporate colour. On the height side there are three steps: primary, middle and high school. At the correct step the pupil’s feet rest flat on the floor, elbows sit level with the top and shoulders do not rise. Share the age distribution of your classes and we will work out how many of each step are needed.

Quotation, delivery and project support

This desk is produced at project scale; quantity, top material, panel type, colour and height are set per order. Because the number of configurations is high, we recommend a short requirements conversation before ordering — we clarify together which top and which panel will last longer in which department. We charge nothing for our survey service.

In pricing, the transport item is kept separate: the delivery charge is calculated according to order volume and destination province and added at the end of the quotation; it is not inside the product price. Our distribution network covers the whole country and export projects. When you send us your room dimensions and pupil numbers, we prepare your quotation together with a layout proposal showing how many desks fit and in what arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which of the four top materials should I choose?

It depends on your usage intensity and cleaning habits. Compact laminate and CDF last longer where wet cleaning is frequent and turnover is high. Werzalit preserves the classic classroom look. Melamine offers colour variety and a budget advantage. Choosing different tops by department within one school is a common approach.

What is the difference between the perforated sheet and melamine panel?

The perforated sheet is finished in the same powder coating as the frame; its perforated texture lightens the desk visually and it wipes clean with a damp cloth. The melamine panel can be chosen from the same colour family as the top, gives a warmer appearance and is not as cold to the touch as metal.

Can we order without a modesty panel?

Yes, a panel-free configuration is available. The underside of the desk stays completely open, which makes the classroom look airier and simplifies cleaning. You only need to state it on the order.

Can we have the frame colour matched to our school's corporate colour?

Yes. Frame and panel colours are chosen from the RAL chart. Simply give us the RAL code at the ordering stage. Applying different colours by floor or department is also possible.

Which age groups is this desk suitable for?

It is produced in three height steps: primary, middle and high school. Share the age distribution of your classes and we will determine together how many of each step you need. Ordering different steps for different floors of one school is common.

Is the chair included in the price?

No, the chair is a separate product. The item most often paired with this desk is a monobloc student chair. On request we will price the desk and chair as a set in a single quotation.

How do delivery and transport work?

We serve the whole of Türkiye and export markets. Transport cost is determined by order volume and destination province and added to the quotation separately; it is not included in the price. The project survey is free of charge.
