Classroom hakkında

Classroom furniture is not simply a matter of picking products one by one. How many pupils the room will hold, how the teacher will move around it and whether the layout changes during the day affect every decision. This page explains how we plan a classroom as a whole.

Layout first, products second

Planning starts with the room's net dimensions. Door and window positions, the location of the board and obstacles such as columns or radiators directly determine the desk layout. The second step is pupil numbers — but that alone is not enough: enrolments arriving during the year and a spare allowance must also be counted.

Circulation width between desk rows is a frequently overlooked item. Enough space must remain for the teacher to move freely and for the aisle not to block during evacuation. In crowded classrooms the usual way to protect that space is to move to double student desks; where individual work and exams come first, single desks stay more flexible.

A classroom's equipment list

A typical classroom contains four product groups: student desks, student chairs, a teacher desk and a lectern for standing delivery. Chair quantity is calculated from pupil numbers rather than desk numbers; with double desks, two chairs are needed per desk.

The lectern is the item most schools notice late. Because most of a lesson is delivered standing, returning to the desk each time to check notes breaks the flow of the explanation. A lectern positioned beside the board fills that gap and keeps eye contact from breaking.

Visual coherence and long-term supply

In Sırasan product families the frame geometry repeats across product types: curved C-leg, twin vertical tubular and square box-section families all appear in desks, teacher desks and lecterns alike. When a whole room is built from one family and one RAL colour, the space looks planned.

Staying within one family has a further benefit for long-term supply: spares and service run on a single frame logic. Ordering for the whole school in one go also preserves colour consistency — batches produced at different times can differ slightly in tone.

Renovation or a fresh installation?

When renovating a classroom, the critical decision is which existing furniture stays. If the desks are sound but the chairs are worn, replacing only the chairs makes sense — but then the top height of the existing desks must be measured and the new chairs chosen to match. A mismatched height reduces comfort even though new products were bought.

In a fresh installation, planning desks, chairs, teacher desk and lectern together guarantees both colour and dimensional consistency. For new buildings and new wings we recommend that route. If you are renovating in phases, deciding at the outset which rooms change in which order lets the building converge on a single language over the years.

Share your room dimensions and pupil numbers and we will prepare a layout proposal showing how many desks fit at what spacing, along with a price quotation. The project survey is free of charge.

Sık Sorulan Sorular

How many desks will fit in our classroom?

The room's net dimensions, door and window positions, the board location and obstacles such as columns are assessed together, and circulation width between rows is deducted. Share your measurements and we will prepare a layout proposal showing how many desks fit at what spacing; the survey is free.

What does a classroom need?

A typical classroom contains student desks, student chairs, a teacher desk and a lectern for standing delivery. Chair quantity is calculated from pupil numbers rather than desk numbers; with double desks, two chairs are needed per desk.

How many spares should we order?

Pupil numbers are the starting point, but enrolments arriving during the year and an allowance for breakage and wear must be added. Adding a single unit later raises the unit price and, because the production batch has closed, can produce a difference in colour tone.

Why buy all classroom furniture from one supplier?

Because the frame geometry repeats across product types, the room is built from a single design language and looks planned. In the long term spares and service run on one frame logic, and single-batch production preserves colour consistency.

Is the survey and layout plan chargeable?

No, the project survey is free of charge. Share your room dimensions and pupil numbers and we will prepare a layout proposal together with a price quotation. Delivery cost appears as a separate line in the quotation and is not included in the product price.
