The Modena teacher lectern separates itself from other lecterns by offering two different top sizes and by allowing the school’s identity to be applied to its front panel. A 45×63 cm Werzalit or a 49×69 cm CDF top can be chosen; the front panel can be produced as perforated sheet or as a panel carrying the school logo. It is designed for schools looking for a lectern with a perforated sheet panel that also want to carry their corporate identity onto the furniture.

Two top options: 45×63 Werzalit, 49×69 CDF

This model’s most concrete difference is on the top side. Alongside the standard 45×63 cm Werzalit top, a 49×69 cm CDF option is offered. The difference is more marked than the figures suggest: because both depth and width increase, the usable surface grows visibly.

That changes how you use the lectern. On the smaller top a textbook and a notebook fit; on the wider top a laptop, a remote and lesson notes can sit at the same time. In rooms using an interactive board and a projector the lectern often turns into a control point — the place where devices are left and the presentation is run. If you foresee that kind of use, the CDF option is the right choice. CDF is also more resistant to moisture and scratching thanks to its black core edge.

Applying the school’s identity to the front panel

The school’s logo and name can be applied to this lectern’s front panel. When it comes to a piece of furniture standing at the very front of the classroom and staying in everyone’s field of view every lesson, this is one of the points where corporate identity is most naturally visible.

In practice that has two returns. The first is corporate: for private schools and colleges, in-classroom visibility works directly in parent visits and promotional photographs. The second is belonging: the institution’s name on furniture a student sees every day quietly repeats that the space belongs to the institution. You only need to share your logo artwork at the ordering stage; we assess its applicability and its size on the panel together.

One point to watch in identity application is the complexity of the logo. Fine lines and very small details may not come out on the panel as expected; plain logos with clear contours give far better results in applications of this kind. For institutions with a complex emblem, a simplified version is generally used. The alternative: perforated sheet panel

For institutions not wanting an identity application, the front panel is also produced as perforated sheet finished in the same powder coating as the frame. The perforated texture lightens the lectern visually and gives a neutral appearance. The decision between the two options depends entirely on corporate preference; technically both serve the same function.

Frame, colour and wire book rack

The frame is a curved C-leg form and rests on the floor on a skid base. Leaving no vertical leg at the front of the lectern, that form lets the feet sit comfortably when standing for long periods. Colours are chosen from the RAL chart — if a logo application is to be made, it matters that the panel colour is determined so as to support the logo’s legibility; in combinations where contrast stays low, the logo cannot be made out from a distance.

There is a wire book rack beneath the top. The material needed through the lesson goes there and, thanks to the open wire construction, the contents stay visible.

In institutions choosing the wider CDF top, the book rack’s importance rises somewhat. As the top grows, more is placed on it, which narrows again the clear area needed for teaching. Moving material down beneath the top lets the wide surface serve its real purpose — that is, letting the device and the text sit comfortably. Keeping the lectern in order also directly affects the view at the front of the room.

Which spaces is it used in?

Classrooms are the main area of use. Beyond that it is also used in conference and meeting halls, library presentation areas and multi-purpose halls. The identity-applied version is preferred especially in promotional and event spaces; a lectern carrying the institution’s name turns into a brand element by itself on a stage or presentation area.

Event photographs can justify that choice on their own. A graduation ceremony, an awards day, a parents’ meeting or a conference — photographs are taken at all of those moments and the lectern stays at the centre of the frame. The institution’s name entering that frame naturally looks far more composed than a banner added afterwards. Given that those images are used in social media and promotional material, the lectern turns into a quiet but continuously working promotional tool. Ordering and the customisation process

Top type (Werzalit or CDF), front panel build (perforated sheet or identity application), colours and quantity are determined on the order. If an identity application is to be made, your logo file has to be shared and its placement on the panel approved; that step is completed before production. Our survey service is free of charge. On identity-applied orders the quantity decision should be thought about a little differently. On a production run with panel customisation, adding a single unit later requires a new preparation process and carries a risk to colour and application consistency. For that reason, producing the school’s whole requirement in one batch is the soundest route on logo-applied lecterns.
